Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism

Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism by Georgia Byng was one of my favorite books when I was younger and it definitely contributed to my dream of living in New York when I grew up.

Young Molly Moon is living in a horrible orphanage and comes across a book about hypnotism at the local library. She studies and studies, soon mastering the art and testing it out on her classmates at the local talent show which she wins overwhelmingly. With the prize money from the talent show, Molly takes off for New York City where she plans to hypnotize her way to a career in acting. In just a short time, she is the star of a widely popular show on Broadway and she's living the life in a posh hotel.

Molly's newfound perfect life is thrown into turmoil when she comes across a crook who is onto her abilities and ready to expose her unless she agrees to help him with his evil plan.

This is a really fun story. If you enjoy kicking back with a younger book once in a while for an amusing and easy read, look no further! Molly Moon is entertaining and will let you escape into her bright and imaginative world for a day.
