Lauren Graham - Someday, Someday Maybe

Ever since I first watched her as the beloved Lorelai Gilmore, I have been a fan of Lauren Graham. I couldn't wait to read her first novel, and I was not disappointed. Someday, Someday Maybe is such a fun and lighthearted novel that really lets the reader feel like they are on the journey alongside Franny Banks.

Franny is a young girl who moves to New York City in the 90s as an aspiring actress. She is someone who everyone can relate to. Franny makes mistakes, she is not the most graceful person, and she is a young girl struggling to get her life on track. However, I found that it was these traits about Franny that made her such a loveable character. She has amazing friends that care about her and her ambition is contagious. I especially love the illustrations that Graham included in the book of Franny's day planner. They really bring the book to life and bring a new light to Franny's character and sense of humor. 

Someday, Someday Maybe is a great and easy read. It's the perfect book to unwind with - sit back and relax with Franny and laugh at her daily adventures. I cannot wait to read the sequel!
